I am looking into an injected raptor 700 for my next project. I haven't been around these ATV's yet, and haven't found the info I am looking for. Here are my questions:

1) I am guessing it uses an Open-loop only system with its only management being a commanded map? No MAF, MAP, or O2s?

2) Stock injector size?

3) Stock fuel pump volume and pressure?

4) Its a single 44mm TB right?

5) I noticed Dynatek doesn't make an ignition for them yet. Is there any easy way to adjust timing (mainly retard)?

Any help from people experienced with these is appreciated.

Yep; as far as I know that is correct. I don't know any EFI system on a quad "yet" that has any of the fancy stuff.
Sorry; don't have the answers to the rest.................will you pass me with a D-?

Sounds like somebody is looking for a turbo or supercharged project. You are right about the electronics, but I don't know the fuel pressure but it looks like it may have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator.

I have not worked on a raptor 700 myself but, the Yamaha parts list shows a throttle sensor and preasure sensor. The "preasure sensor" seems to be connected into the throttle body closest to the motor (in the correct location to be a MAP). Yamaha states: "Yamaha fuel injection means consistently excellent engine performance in a wide range of conditions, elevations, and temperatures" This would make me think it does have a MAP and coolant sensor but no O2 sensor??

I would contact a member by the name of "OregonDunePatrol" Acording to the thread below, he seems to know a lot about ATV/sled EFI.

What!!! I would never do something like that.

I expected it to be a simple setup. Heck, my 1000RR is open loop only and sportbikes are years ahead of ATV technology.

Pressure regulator??? I am guessing its not returnless than? That sucks. I am loving the returnless system that Ford uses on its cars.

I am sure that if it uses a MAP, its only a 1 bar. That wouldn't do me any good for boost referencing.

I really appreciate your help guys.
