Default Honda Recon for the lady?

Recon owners,

I would like your thoughts on what to get my fiance for her first quad? I prefer to stick with Honda, she is only 110lbs and fairly petite and does not intend on any mud bogging, so I'm thinking maybe Recon or Rancher 2-wheel drive? I had her on my 05 Rubi and she said too big for her, but she does like the Auto.

Thanks,
CSR44

Either of those models with ESP may be your best bet. The price is similar, and the Recon is pretty capable as long as you don't need to get anywhere RIGHT NOW. I did ride with a woman of similar stature one time that had traded in her Recon for a Rancher to get more power(better to keep up with the 'boys'.) The downside according to her was the extra weight on long rides, and a larger turning radius. Overall, it didn't sound like she was willing to part with the new quad anytime soon though. Unfortunately, the only place to get a 250/300 class auto that isn't a heavy ute is to go to the Chinese/Taiwanese manufacturers, which it sounds like you don't want to do. Still, you might want to check out the Kymco Mongoose, it comes in a 250 and a 300 flavor, and they are fairly reliable as well.

If you don't need the racks and/or big fenders, go with a 250EX (superb little machine!). It is basically a Recon in sport plastic anyway, and it will do everything a Recon will.......but better. The huge advantage it has is that it is 50 pounds lighter, and a 110 pound rider should really appreciate that!
