If they are not totally stripped out go to your local tool store and buy an impact-screwdriver set. $20 - 30. When you hit it with a hammer it hammers in an turns at the same time. but don't use any thing larger than 16oz ballpeen. also anytime I take something apart with steel screws or bolts in aluminum that hasn't been taken apart in a while , I will always tap on the heads with a hammer after soaking with wd-40 for a while. Good luck.

You need to buy a ACR Philips screwdriver or bit. The ACR stands for anti camout ribs. They really do the trick, to keep the philips heads from rounding out. They even can work on screws which are already buggered up.
As long as youre replacing them, buy stainless socket head cap screws..they wont corrode, and the allen slot wont round out.

I had to get mine out with needle nose visegrips. It sucked!!!!!!
But i replaced them with steel allen heads and they work alot better.
It's just not an easy carb to get to.
