I have a problem which is mild, but there seems to be a problem with my electric start, there is a short coming from the battery but i can't figure out where, a while back it was just a screw that kept coming loose, but that's tight. Now when I pull in the back brack which you have to to crank it, it makes a noize where the battery and wires are. Not sure what it is, please help. Also does K & N make an air filter for the 2000 kodiak yet

don't quite understand your question - what screw kept coming loose? - is the noise coming from NEAR the battery - sounds like one of the relays under the seat - have you had it wet? - is the battery fully charged? - do you have a winch, if so is the solenoid hot?

The K&N for the 99 Kodiak is the same as the 2000.
