Rappy vs. Yfz
#1
Ive been looking at the yfz a lot lately and wanna get rid of my rappy and get a yfz. But does the yfz have a higher top speed? Will it when in a long drag race stock for stock against the rappy? i know its better for track but i heard it rides rough in the trails? also what about the trx 450? thanks

Top speed means NOTHING AT ALL, you can gain or loose top speed with a $20 sprocket.

The YFZ will feel like it has twice the power. It will feel half the size. It will feel twice as rough to ride. After you ride a YFZ for a while, jumping back on the Raptor will feel like getting on a big huge cadillac: more comfy, but less quick and agile.

I havent ridden a stock raptor in years, mine is a built up 686 so the power comparison wont mean much. After riding the YFZ I really wanted to buy one, but not enough to sell my raptor to get one. I rode it at the dunes and only for a short time. Felt very much like you would think a racer should. If I were in the market for a new quad I'd probably still buy a Raptor but it would be a tough choice. If I were in my 20s instead of late 30's I'd probably prefer the rougher YFZ.

If you got a good dealer they will let you ride around a little...mine did and that is why i have a 700 now. yfz is more snappy. 700 more grunt and comfort...but i am 6'4" 260 and that influenced my decision greatly.
