Default how do u idle the motor before checking oil 660 raptor

i have a 660 raptor not to sound stupid but how long to you let the engine idle before you check the oil level
My crankcase breather is spitting oil the yammi dealer is telling me to idle for 10 min before checking because all the oil drains to the crank when the quad sits for a period of time. Is this true or do i have more problems

thanks ahead for any help

You should let it idle untill it is good and warmed up, so 10 mins would be safe but probally dont need that long.

once its up to running temp I shut mine off and wait 2-3 minutes and check the oil. Ive never had overflow problems doing it this way.

Well I start it up and poor oil in untell it it flowing back out the hole you poor it in and then wipe it off and put the plug back on and rev it full throtle for about a min and then take it for a ride around the park......

I really just drive it for a bit tell its good and hot and then take it to a level surface and turn it off, Wate 15 seckonds and then test it. Rember not to screw the oil dipstick in when you are testing it.
