Default New to ATV's - What to buy?

I know absolutely nothing about buying an atv. I bought some acreage that's mostly hillside. I'm looking to buy an atv just to pull a trailer up and down the hill as I am clearing lots of brush. I may put a sprayer attachment on it as well. My stuff will all be at low speeds and I'm a larger guy. The terrain is too steep and uneven for a lawn tractor. Any suggestions on what type and/or models I should look at? Will they overheat riding around at low speeds? Thanks in advance. I really apreciate it.

A couple of options for you to look at, Honda Rubicon, Arctic Cat, preferably 500 or larger, and Polaris Sportsman, again 500 or larger. They all are hard workers, and each has some benefit over the others as well. A good local dealership is also a bonus to be looked for. Personally, if you have a LOT of hills, the solid rear axle Honda is going to offer some stability. AC is nice because the rack system allows for many attachments, and you can buy things like a sprayer or hunting/camping/fishing gear that hooks right to the racks. They use Suzuki engines(except for the H1 650,) all are top notch. Polaris offers some nice features to, and they have the 500 efi x2 that has the option of an open rear diff, nice for using the machine on the yard. Other manufacturers are catching up to AC with rack systems, but I still think thiers is the best.

The above post is a good direction. AC does have a number onr rated 4x4 system, and racks, and ground clearance. The other thing is you can still get V2 models from 06 and 05. Otherwise, the 500, and H1 are excellent machines. They wont overheat at low speeds. It was pushing 100 degrees heer a week ago, and i was riding for a while, and my fan ran more often, but it never overheated. Thats an advantage to being liquid cooled

Thank you both for your replies. I really appreciate it. There's an AC dealer just down the street from where I live. I'm going to head down and talk to him.--Den
