1998 Big Bear 350: Who knows what..??
#1
I'm looking to purchase my first utility 4WD ATV and came across 1998 Big Bear 350. I'll be riding rutted, rocky logging trials in upstate NY. Will this 4x4 fit the bill..? What would be a fair price..? Would I be better off with something NEW..? Please help...!

RBarr,
The 98 Bigbear is a very tough machine. My aunt & uncle use one on their ranch. It isn't the smoothest atv I've ever ridden but it will take a but kicking. If you have the doe I would strongly recommend a new Kodiak, best engineered atv out there.

Yea, the Big Bear will definately take a beatin and keep on ticken. Mine is a 98 4x4 and I love it. You can check out my page for pics. It will do most anything you want it to and never give you trouble. And the bear will take alot harder of a beating than the new kodiaks will.

I had a brand new 99 Big Bear. For one thing, full time 4X4 is miserable. #2, it was geared so low, it seemed more of a farm machine. Snails pass you until you hit third gear. I sold it after two months and bought the Kodiak.
