looking to get a new mid sized quad....what would be the all around best choice.

The Raptor is a warmed over Warrior. I rode a Warrior for years, and I have to say that of all my quads, it is the one I liked LEAST.

The 300 on the other hand is an excellent little machine. Maybe the best tight trail quad of all time. Handles well, has descent suspension, a bit on the heavy side but doesn't handle like it's heavy, motor has hop up potential, stock tires have to go first thing.

 

I prefer the Raptor, it's a little more comfortabe for the bigger rider, it also has another 50cc's on the 300ex.

 

I would say don't waste your time on either and either go with the 400ex or z400 you will most likely grow out of the speed after a little while and want to spend money into them and will be getting the power of the 400's just my .2 but if you really wanted one of the 2 I would say the raptor 350 only becuase of the styling and the extra cc's but besides that its pretty much a tie in my opinion
