Default 350X Motor and 400ex Motor

THE STORY
Ok well the other day my friend was driving his 350X and the motor seized up and the wheels lock up. So he took the valve cover off thinking in might have droped a valve but it all looked good, so he thinks maybe the crank bering went..haha if only that was the case. So tonite we take the head off and look in the cylender and half the valve is sitting on the piston and the piston has a hairline crack in it but cylender walls look fine. So ok we think sheap fix, a valve and new piston. So we investigate futher by taking the cylender off and notice two big chuncks missing out of cylender at the bottom, the piston is missing a peice at the bottom and the piston looks crushed. The connecting rod is bent and broke right off the crank. Look down and theirs a big chunck of metal missing out of the crank and theres a big peice of metal jammed in the crank.... From what he thought was going to be a somewhat cheap and easy fix turns out to be a VERY expensive fix. So the bottom end is toast, cylender probly not worth fixing, and head needs 2 valves

Questions

1-Anyone know if we get another 350X bottom end and a 400ex top end and cylender will they bolt up and work? The Two motors look similar so it may be a dumb question but a 400ex motor is more common than a 350X

2-Does anyone know of a 350X motor or atleast a motor with a good bottom end for sale?

Well I found one and its an oem motor that they say has been sitting in a shop since three wheelers were banned. I dont know how to link stuff so Ill tell you what I typed to get there. Where you search type honda atc350 motor and youll find it there. The whole motor costs $1400. It would be cheaper to rebuild the motor.

Well the 400 and 350 will NOT interchange. I just so happen to have everything you could want to rebuild your engine. Actually it is still apart and I never did finish it because I bought a new 350x engine off ebay so I could get my new custom 250x/350x rideable. I recently sold the quad but still have the first engine that I bought off ebay that was supposed to be ok, that is now in peices only needing the 2 counterbalancer bearings a 1 transmission bearing. The crank has a new vehrsa rod on it and a complete gasket kit and all new valves with kibble white valve springs and a new wiesco 10.25-1 piston, the head was slightly ported by me and then had the seats touched up and valves lapped in. What I have is in very good condition and would let go at a very reasonable priced compared to what I have invested. If your serious and are interested call me, my number is on mypage. RUSS P.S. click on my picture.
