Would a 350x motored 300ex frame beat a 400ex? I can get a good 350x motor that i think i might buy for my 300ex.

 

modified yes, stock no.....seen it done on many a 250x vs 400....400's still over power them...

 

According to GT Thunder's dyno a stock 350X has about 22hp while a stock 400EX makes about 27hp. However a 350X is a 6 speed so that is kind of a nice feature.

I have ridden a 350X powered 250X a long time ago along with riding a Tecate 4 250. The 250 Tecate was easily more powerful feeling than the 350X motored 250X. Obviously the Tecate has more power than a stock 400EX, but they are much closer than the 350X is.

If you were going to spend alot of money on the 350X motor I am sure you could easily run with stock 400EX and even beat some mildly modified 400EXs.

I have heard. I dont know if this is true but you can bore and stroke a 350x to 505. I know for sure you can at least to a 465 b/c i read an article about it.
HOw much are you going to pay for ur engine. I am also looking at the 350xx conversion

 

How much are you paying for the motor? whereabouts? yes it should hang with a stock 400ex, MY RX is very very copetative with the stock 400ex and sometimes motifeied ones
