Aright guzs, I raced a Raptor 660 with 2003 predator that I just bought and my predator lost by 1/2 a quad in the 300 foot. The raptor has a K&N drop in and a yoshumure r3s pipe with a Q core. I thought these predator's would kill raptors and want to know what could be wroung with my predator. Could the valves be out of adjustment or somthing. It starts and runs great. It has a pure polaris pipe on it and hole shot tires and thats about it. Also I am about 25 pounds lighter than the raptor rider? Please tell me what could be wroung. I mean the raptor had bald tires and I am a better rider than the raptor rider. The race was on a loose dirt rode. He has got the valves and jetting dead on on the raptor tho. Please help.

 

uumm... sounds like you got beat cause of displacement. 300 ft is no way to race a quad..take him in the woods and or join D-14 and race a few harescrambles.

 

i wouldent say a predator would kill a raptor, buuuut a TLD is a bit faster than it.

if you want a raptor 700r killer, a outlaw 525 would be a good choice [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img]

 

Boy you Polaris riders are big dreamer's if you think that a predator can beat a raptor my big 800 outty max with two people on it will beat a predator.

 

Ya I read all the polaris reviewes and it soundes like they would kill raptors and mine wont beat a raptor and the seat fells very unconftrable. Also the raptor had a 12 tooth frount sprocket.

 

i always race my friends 660r..... i just have a pp slip on and he has a trinity full exhaust i always beat him by 2 bikes in a 300ft race .... o yea i weigh about 40 pounds more ....... i RARELY have any problems wlth 660r around here

Actually Spydy..he prolly right..he "cheats" and uses 4wd then disengages it thus getting perfect traction...however I'll say again 300 ft strait line race is now to measure a quads speed. I'll kick the snot out of that Outty max on any DNR trail in Michigan. You see we have quad swallowing woops..that in most cases I can keep it 3rd gear pinned.. staying on top..while he is rolling them.

 

I still think you Polaris people need to get real when it comes to a 100yard race Predators aren't in it with raptor's they might be in it with stock 400z but a big old outty with one person will eat them in fact they are the slowest of all the over 400 sports atvs.

 

Bring your quad and your spare keys to iowa, and I'd be glad to "adjust" your opinion on the predator......
