Raptor in Snow
#1
I was wondering if anyone has been riding the Raptor in the snow? Is so, I'd like to know what your impression was of its handling and traction.
I was also wondering about skidplates for the Raptor, have any good suggestions, I like PRMs plate setup...are their others which are comparable in price and quality?

I have a PRM swingarm skid plate. I like it.I had problems trying to find one .mail order worked fine took about three days to get.PRM ATV.com
Eventually will order complete skid plate. The raptor frame guard that comes with the bike is junk.
I have several pieces missing out of mine, and
a arms have all the paint knocked off.

I've had mine in the snow. I'm just running a stock setup (only a few hours on the machine when I took it for a short snow ride)
The Raptor did great! Better than I expected, because I'm used to riding a Scrambler 4x4. The snow was only about 8" deep. No problem. I tried a couple of hills. I was starting to loose traction on one of the steeper hills, so I didn't try anything more challanging. I don't think that the stock tires are anything to brag about. I think my holeshots do just as well, and that's not the best snow tire, either.
It's going to snow again for the next three days. I live just a block from where the pavement ends and the mountain begins, so I'll go for it again this weekend and let you know what I find.
