Default raptor vs shee

well i guess i must be fickle. i cancelled my order for the 07 gytr and will be picking up my 06 shee tomorrow eve. i have an 800 ute thats fast but this is the other end of the spectrum. for the shee owners who have been there and done that any mods for speed enhancement and handling will be appriciated. i will post my thoughts on the new shee after i get back from the dunes tomorrow.thnx for your suggestions.

It all depends on how and where you Ride. The best mods are new exhaust and Remove the airbox. But there are alot more mods you can do. Check out my pics of my Shee.

A quick and reasonable upgrade is Toomey pipes, toomey intake(ditch the box) and rejet. This is plenty of power to have fun.

If you wanna rip, get a stage 2 port job, with 34mm carbs in addition.

If you want this thing to handle, get wider arms, with shocks up front, wider axle in rear. Add a longer swingarm, if you plan on running sand dunes with straight cut paddles.

okay, thnx i will definitely be doing some upgrades. after doing some reading it seems the 2 stroke has a lot of potential over the 4s.i use to ride 2 stroke bikes back in the days before reed valves came along, what a diff now.

picked up the special edition shee from the dealer this eve. went out to the sand to try out the quad and the paddle tires.[the first thing i remembered was that i forgot how to ride a 2 stroke].after bogging down a few times i started to get the hang of it back[hopefully]the ergonomics was all wrong for my style, so i will need to make the neccessary adjustments to allmost everything. i couldnt even get my boot under the shifter to make a shift so i rode back to the truck to put on the tennies.i can say this when the powerband comes on it pulls pretty strong for stock.its had to believe the r boys say they are faster in a straight line drag.next week toomey pipes and intake- port and polish - and bring up the compression. however after doing these mods the only thing it will burn will be racing fuel, well thats the cost of being fast i suppose.if anyone is interested i will post after the mods are made. thnx for the tips.[2 in the garage now 06 outty 800 and 06 soon to be moded shee.]

Congrats on the shee. the shift lever is a easy fix just take it off and turn it up a little.

The tank is kinda wide on a Banshee, as far as ergonomics. They arent the best handlers out of the box, but that can be changed. A twist throttle will make life easier as well.

If you dont bump the compression, you dont have to run race gas.

Congrats on the new quad!

what the mechanic told me at the dealer is the type of p&p & head work they do, it will requires race fuel. even stock the shee requires premium fuel.
