Wiring an electric accessory on 2006 rancher - which wire to splice into?
#1
Hi,
I have a 2006 Honda RANCHER 4X4 ES was wondering if anybody knew what wires to splice into for a cycle country electric hoist (and a cycle country electric blade angle)...
It does have the auxillary socket for a cell phone or whatever but I already spliced in hot grips and thum warmers to this circuit. I'm in the process of installing two more accessories - the Cycle country electric plow angle and then the cycle country electric hoist.
I was looking at the wiring up front and under the seat and side cover but am not sure what wire is considered accessories. The electric accessories do have a direct connect to the battery Red and Black but also a yellow that specifies an accessory circuit. Anybody familiar with the rancher?
Thank you

The wire coming out of the accessory fuse is a white wire with a black tracer. You could wire in there at the fuse box or wire in at the accessory outlet up front

ATV Tech,
Is the wire coming out of the accessory fuse - out the bottom of the fuse box right (behind the battery)? Is the "white wire with black tracer" the same wire circuit as the accessory outlet up front?
These are utility machines I would think honda would leave a terminal or something, don't mind splicing but don't want to over do it on the auxillary outlet (because that's where hot grips and thumb warmer are spliced into.
Thanks for the reply!

I spliced into the pink wire coming off the key ignition for my winch. It is only hot when the key is turned on, you can test any wire you want with a test light avalible for about 2$ almost anywhere
