Default 2WD/4WD indicator flashing back and forth...

I worked all weekend and just unloaded the bike.I noticed it was flasing back in forth from 2WD to 4WD.Every second it was changing.I shut it off for a few minutes, started it,and it was not doing it.I took it for a spin up to the pit,and just a few minutes into the ride,it started doing it a'gain.I flicked the switch to 4WD,and it is going in.It also comes out ok.

Any ideas what this might be?The bike has 1486 kms on it.

Had the same thing happen on my 05 Brute . I took the belt cover off and removed the KEBC actuator. Then cleaned everything out and reassembled. Works great.

You are experiening the same thing that happend to mine. Eventually, the actuator will go out totally so you can either replace it or do what i have done. I took the belt cover off and removed the kebc(diconects the actuator from the belt) and put a peice of electric tape over the light. Works great. So many people just take the kebc for out in the first place. You still have engine braking. Try it atleast, if you dont like it, it takes 2 mins to put the fork back in with no problems.

My 05' P700 was doing the same thing. Only 1240 miles on it. I took it to the dealer and they replaced the actuater for free. I havent had anymore problems since. Oh, I have a extended warranty though.

MIne just did that and I had already removed the KEBC fork. I checked the fuse and it was corroded so I cleaned it and all is well so far.
