660 vs 700
#2
They lowered the seat and center of gravity some and it is also slighlty wider and longer than the 660. The front end stays down a little better as well. The 700 like the 660 still has tons of torque and is designed for the trails. Yamaha did a good job of looking at a great quad (660) and made alot of the improvements it needed. If a trail rider I dont think there is a better option out there right now.

I have ridden the 700 and it rides a bit smoother than the 660. Overall I think they are still very close. Both also feature a lot of handlebar vibration.
The 700 doesn't seem to be big enough of a step up for me to make the jump to the new bike.
