Yamaha dosent list the hp for the banshee. does anyone know what it is ? THNX

ok, thnx. the stock banshee has 200 sized main jets, after my mods i will be using 320 mains,so doing the math that should be about 70 hp. does that sound right?

 

i cant say from experiance (mine is bone stock)

but that sounds like an in the ballpark guesstamate

port&polish, milled head,air intake,tommey t5 bottle, race fuel. i calculated using the 47 hp stock and the jets are 200 stock, going to 320 jets should put out 76 hp.[also i ordered works shocks trs] takes 3 weeks to get works shocks because they make them for the type of riding you do and also the riders weight. next v force 3 reed valve & pro shift kit.

 

get that thing on a dyno!!...... im getting my shee dynoed saturday......i'll post the dyno sheet once i get it

 

sounds good, let me know what you come out with.what mods have you done? my next step is v force 3 reeds valve, and a pro shift kit, because boy the banshee can really use some improvements in the shifting.

 

the thing that is amazing about these small 2 strokes is that going to a big bore and p&p with big pipes they will put out 100 hp.

 

Hate to bust your bubble but with just those mods you won't be putting out 76HP. I've got a buddy with a shee that has those same mods and I think he was only putting out 55HP. Stock shees are nowhere near 47HP either, not sure of the exact number but I'm thinking it's closer to 35. Also, for you to get to 100HP you're goin to have to have a 7 or 10 mil big bore stroker on alky or nitrous. Don't take this as a bashing, just as a clearing up.

 

First off you will never get that much HP with the stock carb's. Secondly porting make's the most HP so make sure to choose a company that know's the Banshee engine like Trininty,Alba,PT,..... to name a few.
