CARBURETOR FOR 2006 RAPTOR 350
#1
hi i was wondering what kind of carburetor to put on my 2006 raptor 350 i was looking at the DG Keihin Off-Road Carburetor, PWK D-Valve - 39mm Bore and didnt know if it would hurt my bike putting on a new one. it only have a new K&N air filter on it right now

Bigger carbs are usually one of the last things to add after extensive work. If you need a little more power, add a full exhaust and rejet the carb.
If you were to port the head, add a cam and hi compression piston, a larger carb would work well.
By the time you make that kinda power, the chassis will need to be upgraded for the speeds it will be capable of.

well the carb i have on it is a 36mm stock one and all the screws are stripped so i wanted to just buy a new carb instead of having work done on the stock one so if i just replace it with the same 36mm would it make a difference or would i still have to get all the work done too it so it didnt hurt the bike

In that case, id say go ahead and upgrade. I didnt realize your stock carb was messed up. Id buy an aftermarket carb before spending money on the same thing I already had. Then when you go make other mods you already got the fuel supply.

Like the others said. There is no reason to change out the stock carb before doing quite a few other mods. The stock carb delivers plenty of fuel for the stock engine.
