Default Best aftermarket exhaust for Sportsman?

Whose aftermarket exhaust are you guys running and what are it's pros and cons? I just installed the stock Polaris 800 exhaust header on my 700 efi. I just put the stock silencer can back on for the time being. I want to see also if the header alone helps even with the stock silencer on it. The 800 header with the updated heat sheild and all hardware installed weighed over 3 lbs more than the stock 700 header. I can't seem to find anyone who still has the White Brothers/Pure Polaris silencer. Is it tunable by adding or subtracting discs? I don't really want to make it any louder than nessecary. I'm looking to reduce weight and add power. I've heard that the Aeen pipe is pretty loud and cannot be quietened down. It seems I've narrowed my choices down to the following; The LRD TORC utility silencer( anyone out there running one of these?);The Pro Circuit T-4 silencer (and headpipe?) Does anyone run this or know what the headpipe consists of for the Sportsman models?: The Pure Polaris/White Brothers, or White Brothers E series silencers. According to the website and my dealer this is no longer available from Polaris. Any help/discussion on likes and or dislikes of these or other systems will be greatly appreciated.

I'm glad to see someone else has that Pure Polaris (mfd by White Brothers) aftermarket silencer on their SP700. I too have a 2004 SP700 (carb version) and just picked up this silencer on eBay. I'm hoping it picks up the power in the lower ranges - not that the 700 lacks power, but more power is always a good thing!

A couple of questions:

1) The dealer from whom I purchased it says that no carb adjustments are required if I leave the rings as shipped. True? False? Did you do anything other than just install it?

2) Have you repacked it? Do you intend to? The instructions say every 10-12 hours. I talked to White Brothers about it and the process is really simple, but I'm wondering if anyone has actually done it in a non-racing (i.e. utility) application.

3) What changes to performance did you see once you installed it?

Thanks!

WAATV, 1) no carb adjustments, make sure you have a more free flowing air filter, rings will adjust back pressure, performance and sound level, adjust as you want, i have fooled around and found that 5 is about right.
2)800km before the re-pack was nessisary, too much back pressure, takes about 20min the first time, $40 canadian
3)performance wise???? never was able to lift the front tires off the ground until the new can, it will give you about another 3 hp or so

Speaking of rings: It sounds like you've been adding/subtracting them. I can't remember how many come with the performance silencer, but where do you get more if you need them? Does White Brothers stock them? And how do you optimize the number for a given engine setup? I would think "more" is "better" because it would reduce backpressure and thus reduce the load on the engine during the exhaust stroke, but there may be more to it than that.

Thanks for any advice you can provide!

Just finished my Cremic coated 800 header and sheilds and added 5 more disks to the can. It's loud. Don't know how it passed the sound restrictions. As for the disks you can get a set of 5-6 for 20 bucks from WB. I have a 06 700 and WB told me to run all 10 disks. We'll see how it runs later today. With the stock pipe and WB can I lost power. That was with 5 disks. I tried to check the packing last night and it packed so tighe I can't get the baffel out. I'm going to call WB today about. It think its over packed.
