Can somebody tell me how to do a compression test on this bike. I did a search and someone said you had to do it with the engine hot and other posts did not mention this. Which brings me to this . How can you test it if the engine wont run? Thanks Sam

Don't let the hp numbers fool you. Its all in how you get it to the ground. Clutching clutching clutching!

It is hard to do a hot comp check because of where the plug is and to get to it you almost need to pull the gas tank.Best to do a cold check and then see how it acts cold and after warmed up.
We had 110psi cold but would loose power when hot.Took the cylinder off and miced it and the piston to find it was wore bad enought to need a topend.Solved problem.

Hey ftwflh thanks for the help. I had 75# cold so I pulled it apart and tomorrow I will be off to my dealer for some machine work and parts. Hopefully I will have my boy back on the trails in a week or two. Thanks again Sam
