Default Polaris "Performance Silencer" for SP700?

I just picked up one of these on eBay. It's a Polaris-labeled product but was actually manufactured by White Brothers Racing. I haven't had a chance to install it yet, and have only seen one other person (on this forum) even mention it. Does anyone else have this unit? What benefits, if any, did you notice after installing it? Did you have to adjust your carb at all? (My SP700 is not EFI.) Have you played with the number of disks on the back end?

Thanks!

I have one and the 800 header also, I put 4 disks and the quiet core in mine, have experimented up and down and this seems the best for mine.

I've never heard of a "quiet core" for this silencer/muffler...?

OK, but what does it do? The guy I spoke to at White Brothers implied that this unit is already pretty quiet, "No louder than the stock muffler, just a lot more efficient and thus better at getting power out of the stock engine." Was he wrong? Is this unit noticeably more loud and requires something extra to quiet it down?

Sorry for all the questions - aftermarket silencers are brand new to me. Thanks for your help!

I had the PP/WB muffler on mine and it is definitely louder, not alot but noticeable. I did not notice any increase in power and the muffler sound got to be annoying after a while so I installed the stock muffler back on and am pleased with it. I am selling the PP/WB muffler for $90.00, jetkit $20.00 and .020 timing key $5.00.

I have the 800 mod setup too, its not a very noticable gain and the silencer is a little better sounding and louder.

i have a video clip of the silencer sound if interseted.

I would be interested in that jet kit and timing key.

I have the 800 header pipe with the PP/WB pipe.

The power increase on mine was quite large. The biggest punch comes in the midrange RPM's.

I added 3 disks to the muffler. The stock disk number is 5. The sound is only a little louder with a deeper tone.

Another advantage to the PP/WB pipe is the water factor when you play U-Boat Commander. The WB pipe is 4" inches higher than stock and the exhaust exit's in a oval pattern so when your really deep in the water/mud the bike will keep running where as the stock muffler will drown out the engine.

When you do the 800 mods you have to get the 800 air lid too. The 800 air intake is three times bigger than a 700 box lid. More air in, more HP.
