just got mine, and am wondering what people are doing, or have done, to there STOCK carbs, such as jetting and the needle. my altitude is about 200 above sea level. ive got a new k/n filter w/outerwear, lid off air box, a new pilot jet, a new needle from alba, and jets ranging from 165 to 172.5. thanks for any/all help.

I ran the Alba needle for a while and I was jetted at a 185, needle on the 5th clip with an HMF slip on. When I had the intake ported and removed the airbox altogether I was running a 200, 4th or 5th clip. I think you may need bigger jetts than you have now. I don't think you will need a new pilot unless you do the intake porting (I highly recomend BTW). Good luck!

hey entomber, the fit is ok, wont complain, cause the diameter of the pipe is fatter, so it will be a little tighter. the finish is a different story. i thoght it was supposed to be ceramic coated, but it looks like raw stainles, oh well i was expecting a little nicer looking i guess. also the logo is facing the battery. the pics ive seen have it facing the left side. oh well i guess. and its a hell of a lot louder than either my bro with an hmf on his yfz, or my other bro with an hmf on his raptor 700r. (i call it the 686r)

i just wanted to tell everyone in the forums that my experiences on and from these forums has been tramendous. i just happen to find this forum, register, and get a terrible electrical problem. write in about my problem, and ended up getting a hell of a lot more than just help. pipelayer GAVE me a stator, and ds650ctracing sold me a ton of parts for practically nothing. ive had some bad experiences with people and was beginning to lose faith in humanity. but these guys make me think otherwise. i think those two guys and everyone here in the can-am forum are a good group of people. ill never stop coming here now. thank you

maddsguy thats good to hear and everyone on this bomb forum is very helpful and also appreciate the time and effort people put into helping me and one another...I have an alba full system with no airbox lid and a K&n with a prefilter and was running a 185 but bumped it up to a 190 so I would try like fat ahha j/p fatholly (inside joke) said to get a bigger jet because you are going to be running way too lean so get a few more main jets and try them out and see which works the best start high and work your way down thats what I did I would say you are going to be a 185 main jet though.

at what altitude are you and everyone else running at? i put in the new pilot jet and its a 47. it idles really nice and smooth, never hickups even at first start up. i put in a 172.5 main jet, and left the needle alone. im gonna get some more jets, so all you ds nuts keep the helpful info coming in. thanks

I am right off the east coast in jersey not too far from the shore I guess not pos on the exact alt but not high at all ...is the ct just s slip on or a full exhaust and just try like a 185 and try to adjust the carb a little to see and work from there I am not sure where my needle is set at as I had a dealer do it for me and learned how easy it was and did it myself thanks to the guys on the forum...Let us know when you get the new jets.
