Default Raptor 80

OK, I am a Kawasaki man normally but I bought my daughter, (12 and rides my wifes 300 pretty good) a 2004 Raptor 80 today. It looks almost new and has no mods installed. I will be giving it to her for Christmas. Can anyone tell me what if any necessary mods I should consider for this bike before she starts riding it?

Also, in case your wondering I bought this bike because most places around my state now require children 16 and under to not ride anything larger than a 90cc (Chandlers Law.) I expect SC is soon to pass this law also. I have been following this pretty closley.

Thanks for your help,
Mud

I also have a raptor 80 for my son who is 6 and rides it pretty good. The thing has plenty of power for his abillities, but im sure if your girl rides it at the age of 12 she will be looking for more than it can give. The thing that I dont get is a kid cant ride anything bigger than an 80cc but once they are 16 they can drive any vehicle with any amount of horsepower, or a straight truck up to 26000 lbs.
I guess 16 is the magic number.

Yes it is crazy, I never have liked the ways the laws play out about things. I believe as parents we should be able to decide or childrens capabilities and allow them to ride something bigger than a 90cc if we feel they can handle it. I realize bigger bikes weigh more but I really wanted to get my daughter about a 250cc class atv. I will still let her ride mine and my wifes from time to time. In some ways I believe it is a little safer than the narrow bodied Raptor. Hers will still be a good bike for her to sharpen her skills on. As long as she is riding something she is happy.

Thanks,
Mud
