got to test drive the entire outlander line on saterday, everything from the old 400 right through to the 800. Holy crap i knew the 800 was going to be powerfull but good lord that was the most fun iv had with my pants on in a while. to bad i could never bring myself to buy one. Between being over 9,000 dollars and having a stupid single lever brake, and handeling like my grandma's 87' cadillac they just arent appealing to me. They need to set the spring rates higher and put a detachable anti sway bar in the rear end, and put real brakes on which means a separate lever for just the front, and oh yea how about a god darn tranny, like a 5 speed. now that would be a quad worth trading my vinson in for.

Sounds like you're a little confused. And what you've described is exactly why I buy brand new machines out of the crate, this way I know it hasn't been abused by people who test ride just for the hell of it.

Our local dealer lets us test ride quads....they move them out to the lot from a warehouse evry day and they are not babied.....really not an issue

Mine came out of the box, and got wet with fluids for the first time. Any abuse to it has been from me only

somebody riding a new machine hard is probably way better than somebody riding it like a granny. the only thing is to make sure it is warmed up first.

yeh why do they make allmost all new quads automatic? if there was a big bore with an optional 5 speed i am sure they'd sell so much more. i know i'd buy one.

I dunno.. I'd way rather have the CVT on the renegade or outlander than a manual. The CVT is a much better system for hillshooting.. Can you tell my why all sleds are CVT and not manuals if manuals are the best for everything?

thats why i'd put it as an option because people like me would be working with them and cvt arnt too good at towing and 5 speeds usually have a lower range and i find auto's are boring. And not all of us have a place to hill shoot.
