I know this question has many answers, but how muc am I expecting to pay for a good 250r?

There is an 87' at a local dealer ship that was $4,600 and had a-arms, ct 310 kit, swing arm$ axcle, and it had renthals, race plastic and lots of other goodies. Is that extreramly to high or resonable?

 

I see tons of them in the local cycle classified paper from $2700-3500 for slightly modified bikes.

 

How much for a 250R? How much you got?
I, personally, wouldn't pay $4600 for an 87, unless it was absolutely cherry. I think if you shop around a bit and take your time, you can find a better deal than that.

From my experience when I was shopping for a
used R prices run from 3,500 for junk to 4,800
for something that needs tlc.I ended up dri-
ving to Alabama to find the Quad in the condition
that I could live with.I've found that its better
to pay a little more for a quad thats in the
best condition you can find.You can buy junk
all day long and when your thru rebuilding it
you have more in it than if you'd paid more
and got a better quad to start with.Being from
Indiana myself I know what its like to drive
3-4 hours to look at a quad that isn't close
to the condition that the owner claimed it was.
Nice 250Rs in our state are terribly hard to
find and what is out there is usually wore out.
The best years as far as resale is the 88-89 and
they command the highest prices.Good luck and
take your time.

Hey, Im from IN also, does that 250 happen to have the K&K Cycle graphics kit on it? Just curious.
