Just for playing around it would probably be ok I guess, but it's 24 years old, and even when it was new the suspension wasn't really up to the task of handling an adult sized rider. It'll probably ride like a pogo stick with 2 tires, but it would still be fun for short rides. Finding replacement parts might be a big of a challenge for something that old though.

Hey, that bike appears to be the same as the old yamaha GT80. my brother had a bunch of them (like 6 all at the same time) and we rode the heck outa them. they are fun little bikes and handle pretty well for what they are. they have snappy little engines and a top speed arround 40mph.

They are small little bikes but very fun. I have a GT80 (enduro version of the MX80).At 27 years old, it has over 1500 backyard miles on the factory piston/rings. In stock form, mine isn't zippy and there really isn't a powerband. It matters how much you want to spend.. a little bike like that is fun because its slow enough where you don't have to slam on the brakes every 3 seconds to keep from crashing into the house nextdoor. If you want a small, inexpensive bike, the MX/GT80s are a good choice. If you want a smaller/faster/old bike, Suzuki made some pretty fast bikes.. like the early 80s piston ported RM60s. Them old RM60s look like little toys, but you would swear you hear a YZ250 comming.

I had one of the MX80's back in the day. I rode it for years basically trouble free. The only incidents I remember was I stripped the gear shift shaft once and the exhaust head pipe would come loose from the head from time to time. Don't expect it to be a runner though.....they are in a very mild state of tune. If it runs and is in sound mechanical condition it's got to be worth a couple hundred bucks IMO.

my friend had a mx and a dt100 which is the same thing but 100cc and those little things were fun and never broke down i'd say go for it if you want a toy and have fun
