I'm the proud new owner of an '87 250X and everything on it is original right down to the chain and sprokets, it's in perfect shape. My first question is how do you adjust the chain? Secondly, How do i go about greasing this, as in what all gets greased and how do i go about it, i noticed there are no grease zerks on this anywhere. Lastly, where can i get a good pair of nerf bars for it for around $80 or less? I bought this quad this weekend and am already in love with it and i dont want it to break on me.

nerfs under 80? never..they are all around 130..

As for greasing...there is no place to grease it..all sealed bearings.

I have a 87 250x also. Love to answer any questions. First thing pick up a clymer manual. It will be the easisest way to figure out what to grease how how to adjust the chain. I can tell u if u really need it now. Send me an email or icq # 40464611
