which is a better mud machine the rubicon or forman?

The Rubi. Its got a little more power and the benefit of low gearing. But aside from that there the same.

the rubi is geared lower than the 500? what type of tranny does thev rubi have? something different isnt it?

It has the Hondamatic transmission. It has 2 modes of auto(D1 and D2) or you can choose to shift it yourself with ESP.
It also has a low mode too.

Imo, that is the best transmission out there.
