Default To all you YFZ 450 guys

I rode a YFZ for the first time this weekend up at Killpecker sand dunes and that thing was sweet. I didnt realize how fast those things are, it is way quicker than my buddies rappy 700. I want one, just wanted to tell everyone who has one that they have one sweet friggin bike!

How did you like it compared to your KFX700? I used to have one of those. I do miss the power of the KFX but I love the handling of the YFZ and I don't htink I would trade it back ever.

It was too hard to compare to my KFX. I love both machines, the YFZ would be sweet for jumping and racing in the dunes, but just for cruising around and the occasional jump i like my KFX. I know when I get a YFZ i will keep the V too. Man that YFZ handled and was quick!!

I was doing more than the occasional jump with my KFX so it started getting old. When I thought abuot all the money I would have to spend to get it to be just OK for play riding at the track it started to get up there. $1500 for suspension, $500 for wheels and tires, more for other things. Much cheaper to sell it and get a 450.

There are only three times I really miss the KFX. Once is when I get in a tight spot on a trail and need reverse. The second is when my throttle hand gets tired from pushing the stiff YFZ throttle. The third is when I miss a shift that totally screws up my approach to a jump.
