Im always afraid of that. I got an LA guard dog for my truck. It goes into my receiver and comes up and latches onto the ball of my 4-wheeler. That gave me a little more peace of mind. They make them for trailers also, they mount to the floor. I use to watch my rear-view mirror more than the road.

Last weekend when we were going up to Killpecker dunes we saw an atv trailer that must have come unhitched. There was a trailer with the hitch pointing straight up in the air and two 4 wheelers about 50 feet apart, one on its top. Didnt look good to me.

That sucks. I was pulling my KFX 700 to the track for the very first time and my straps gave and it rolled to the back of the trailer which shifted the weight to the back and caused the trailer to pop off the hitch. Luckily i had it chained as a backup but unlucky for the backdoor of my truck because when i stopped the trailer hit the door hard. But my KFX was fine which was all that mattered.

After one ride we had my older brother's 04 yfz, my 06 z400, and my little brother's 01 400ex on the trailer. We had to come back out of the woods on basically a trail barely big enough for the truck. It was really rocky and bumpy, so I suggested we stop when we get to the main road to check it.My older brother was like " N o they'll be fine, don't bother." and trying to convince my other brother they'd be fine, and then was arguing with me that we didn't need to check them and that they wouldn't have come loose from that. Well, thankfully my little brother listened to common sense and pulled over at the main road because they were all loose. After which my older brother still insisted they'd be fine, although he isn't the one who tightened them so he really didn't know how loose they were.
