Default 240cc big bore kit, is it worth it?

I have an 05 blaster and i have been looking at the vitos big bore kit. There are 2 versions with significant price differences. The sleeve version for about $250 and the jug version for about $550. Is there that much difference between the 2 power gain wise? I mean they both promise 32hp gain. Also, is there a noticeable gain with this kit, can you tell that it made a difference? I have a full FMF Gold Series Fatty exhaust allready. I just want to make sure its worth it.

is it a 32hp "gain" or you end up with 32?

I've heard of fellows doing custom 240 builds and netting around 50HP in their blasters, but that was after a a heap of work.

If you're getting a gain of 32HP from an investment of only 550 ... I'd say go for it. That alone would put you up into 40's for sure at the RW's

how hard would it be to do the sleeve kit? I am a machinist so i have the skills. But what is required? Is the stock sleeve pressed in or what i havent had mine apart yet to see how its assembled.

You should contact Vito's to get the info on both kits. I would assume that with the head package they have ported and polished everything and perhaps increased cooling capadity around the head due to the extra heat the increased CC's create.
