Default Knocking Dyna cdi

Just installed my knew dyna cdi on my BF650 and my motor is knocking. Reinstalled the stock unit and the knocking goes away. Any thoughts? I've been searching these forums awhile now and I can't recall anyone with this issue. Just my luck I suppose. I still have my highlifter module installed but I can't see that being the problem. I don't imagine that rejetting will solve it either. If anyone has any thoughts or have had this problem please let me know what the fix if any was. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You may have some bad gas and are getting an "octane knock" that is only showing up with the advanced timing. Try some fresh 91 octane gas and see what happens. just a thought, may not help at all.

Definitely worth a shot. Thanks for the help. I should mention to that it only seems to knock at idle. Off idle I either can't hear it or it goes away. Any thoughts?? Thanks again

Its possible but would it be more pronounced with the Dyna because I don't really notice it with the stock unit? Anybody else notice a louder knocking sound coming from the rear cylinder at idle with their dyna's? Thanks for the help.

Ok I lied. When I removed the HL Module the quad was hot and the knocking was gone. But when the quad is cold as in when its warming up the knocking is there. as soon as she's warmed up the knock is gone. Anyone else have this ? any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Turn up the idle a little see if that stops the knock when cold.
