Default Eagle Powersports 150STI review

Ok so here is my review I got an Eagle Powersports 150STI. This isn't an ad so I won't say where I got it from unless it is requested.

Length: Brush Guard to Grab Bar: 65in Back Wheel to Frame Front: 59in

Width(Didn't measure axle to axle just end of tire to tire): Rear: 41 1/2in Front: 45 1/2in

Height: Seat(lowest part): 30in Handlebars(grips): 44in

Ground Clearance Front(lowest point in center): 9in Back: 5in

I tried to be detailed as possible if its to detailed I'm sorry. Its just the manufacture is vague and trying to give people an Idea.

The backstory is that I got a Redcat VX-200 that I had trouble shifting it since it was a clutch. I got the hang of it a little bit and was riding it and went up a hill caught a rut and a rock then the front end came up and I rolled it. I take the blame for rolling it but I still think it was way to narrow so I sold it. The guy who bought it off of me has some starting issues but once it is started it is ok running it just hangs up alot with ruts.

EAGLE POWERSPORTS 150STI

I am just going to skip the putting together part since it has been talked about in the past but here is just one thing USE THE LOCTITE. I know people get excited and want it together just like me but take your time and loctite it will save hassle down the road. It looks like a cross between a Jetmoto and a Redcat. I know the other quad I had the plastic would fit. Being 5'8" and 180lbs I didn't feel small on this as I did my Redcat. If you know anyone that has an older Kawasaki Mojave its about that size except the A-arms are longer on the Eagle and the eagle has the smaller tires. The engine on this thing is surprisingly strong but if you go up a long steep hill it will start slipping a bit so try to stay away from those. Short steep hills it climbs like it isn't a challenge. The suspension is surprisingly good takes the bumps out surprisingly well because this thing is pretty wide. If you were getting this for and inexperienced or a young rider that is a plus because of less chance of tipping while cornering. You will not need to get wheelspacers for this. It sits pretty high I think and I have not gotten hung up once just stuck because I stopped in mud instead and continuing through it. I have had it for a month now starts every time first time. Wish it had a back up kickstarter incase the starter went or battery died(more on that in a minute). It has forward and reverse no neutral and you have to hold the break lever in or turn on the parking break which holds the lever in. I wish it did have neutral though for obvious reasons. Now the only problem I have had was the first time I went riding it and shut it off it died and wouldn't start. My buddy jumped it the 2 times I shut it off that day. As long as I kept it on it didn't die. So I get home and wash it, put the battery on charge and I came on these boards and looked up what it could be and stumbled upon someone saying a regulator for someone elses problem for a Kawasaki I believe. So I figured maybe that could be it. Pulled the plug apart for the regulator and notice a bent pin inside it so I straighten it out plug it back in and it starts to smoke. Noticing now that there are 5 wires coming to the regulator and only 4 coming out I knew they had to put the wrong one on there. I go to atvpartsusa this atv was not on there site so I searched for regulators and went by look. I see the DPX-200 Regulator matches up perfect visually. I ordered it from there because I know warranty didn't cover it and I planned on going riding if it worked in 4 days. Had it delivered in 2 days hooked it up it started and has worked ever since with not a single problem since the first time out and I have been out and have maybe 29 hours on it. Well water did get in the headlight the first time I washed it so I fixed that if that counts as a problem. Sorry for my rambling and if you read this I hope I helped and if there are any questions ask away.
