Default Flat track a DS?

I found a thread here from back in 01 (heh) about doin that and lowering kits. I guess nothing ever came out. I'm considering doing it, but I haven't found anything parts wise. So...before I start hacking away at making my own parts to get the job done I wanted to make sure I didn't overlook anything. The DS is an 04 Baja X, with the no link rear suspension setup so I'll probably have to get a custom shock made for that or get lucky and find one that has the same size mounting points and is shorter. Is there any aftermarket stuff out there for this thing to lower it down or am I DIY territory?

If some one begs to differ from the facts please do so, Randall Richards from Horsepower Research is more than qualifed in this area and highly suggested for this type racing since I believe he has a few titles in this area!! Semper Fi carlton
