I purchased a Renegrade last week...

So afterwardz i went over to the parts department to figure out what i want to do once i receive the renegade. I think we all can agree that the factory bullet rimz are nice enough to stay on. So i have a question here for the outtie owners out there, since they have the same motor. I would like to go with a 27" reg. mudlite tire. I also like to keep my speed up. Will this torque MONSTER even notice that big of a tire? Should i just stick with a 25" tire? I do mostly muskeg/mud ridin.

well its cool that you got a renegade congrats, even though you have a few months to recieve it. if you do alot of hardcore mud riding i think you should look into the INNOVA mud gear in a 26'. these tires are knarly and the 26's mesure an actual 27. they eat up the mud. the only down side is that they do weigh a little and bog you down some, but you have a 800 renegade that will be able to handle it. the renegade has a better clutching system than the outtys. the renegade has one for clutch finger than the outty that helps with a little more torque. good luck and happy muddin'!

BBR, Ill look into those tires. Im willin to sacarfice some weight for decent tires. Bigger you go with tires, the harder it is on parts like CV and so on. My friends grizz is a mess with the big tires.

There was a big waitin list for the Renegade already, so i decided i better make a choice now, or ill be waitin til July...lol

There is an issue with the visco-loc not working properly with larger then stock tires. Since the Outlanders come with 26" tires you'd probably be safe going up one size but I'd err on the side of caution if you want to go larger. You can run larger as it won't cause any damage but your 4WD will not lock up as quickly as with the OEM sized tires. BRP is aware of this problem and it MAY be whats holding up the release of the Renegade. Guess they used the 800 as a guinea pig for the Renegade LOL.

if you want an almost immeadiate lockup on you visco, get the diff spring off of a traxter 500 or 650 quest that has the same diff.

I don't get it. If your going to play in the deep mud, why not get an Outlander 800. More protection from mud. Disc brake rotors on the front are up higher out of the slop.

The Renegade is suppose to be lighter, more nimble. So the first thing you want to do is put heavier tires and wheels on it. Think your missing the point of the Renegade.

From what I gather on other sites, you will notice the power loss with 27" tires.

I didnt notice a whole lot of power lost on my DS goin from 20 - 22, but that is a 2x4.

I like the renegade cause its new, killer looks. Another is that I know the renegade cant jump as far as the DS, but you can still have tons of fun jumpin with the renegade with its sporty suspension

BTW... a scrambler. Goes great through the mud of what ive seen. (resembles a renegade)
