Hi... I just put a new chain on my 1984 200x. I left the drive and rear sprockets alone. The drive sprocket looks fine but the rear sprocket is a little worn. Now there is an annoying noise coming from the chain when I let off of the gas after an acceleration. When I let off of the accleration the noise sounds like it is coming from the drive sprocket and the sound lasts 2-3 seconds. The sound is quite loud and wasn't here before the new chain. The swing arm is positioned as far back as possible and the chain is the right size.

IS this noise common with new chains? Will it stop as the chain loosens and adjust to the sprockets?

 

I know this a dumb question, but did you remember to use chain lube on it?

 

Is your cain adjusted right???
