Default Diaphragm / Coasting Enrichener question

On a warrior (like 96'). How will your quad run if your diaphragm is broken. Yamaha repair book calls it a coasting enrichener. I still can't figure out what is wrong with my warrior.

if it is torn your quad will pretty much run like cr@p it would be like if you were to pierce your lung would you be able to breathe so its the same idea for the diaphragm

Are you sure that it functions the same. Because I have a DS too and it seems different.

I looked it up and the diaphragm is on the side the ds one has the slide and needle and diaphragm all connected so its a little different then compared to the warrior well if they call it a coasting enrichener wouldn't that make the mixture more rich while not hitting the throttle hard atleast thats what I understand from the name that you mentioned but in the diagram I saw it said diaphragm take a look its one of my other listings when talking to speedy

Thats what I was assuming it did also. It doesn't matter anymore because I found out that my problem is that the valves are leaking. That sucks
