Biggest tires on 800 Sportsman

I could pull wheelies SOMETIMES with my 27" Mudzilla's on it and stock clutch. When I went up to 28", forget about wheelies with stock clutches. You will have plenty of room for 27's. As for the clutch kit needed, It really depend on how you ride. I've been in 2 mudholes that I could not tun the tires over with 27" Zilla's ad stock clutch. THat was 2 too many for me. I added Heel Clicker and to be honest I've never had a chance to try out the clutch with the 27's to see a comparision. I put 28" Zilla's and the H/C at the same time, still no good chance to try it out it the mud, but small wheelies were in my arsenal again!. Motor let go and dealer swapped out my lemon with the MV. I now have the 28" and H/C on it, but still no chance to try it.
Waiting until the first weekend in Nov. Hope it rains. I will be with a Girlizzy(Yamaha), Queen Quad(Suzuki) and most likely a Butt Force(Kawaski). We will see how my 1,000 lb quad will make new trails so these guys can get through. They better stay on the high side! 'Cause I am not interestded in any recovery action again!
FITSofRAGE I am coming for you and all of your sissy rice burning buddies. If you are still nervous about the bootleg, don't worry, I 'll lead the way. I'll keep mine in 2WD so you can have a good idea, if you can get through. Tell whoever that peter dude, or whatever his obsession is, to leave his skirt at the house. It might get a little muddy this time out. 'Cause I have the Polaris and I know, THE WAY OUT!

your right. poor laris. im not to worried about a 1000 lb quad. the old grizz is back in rare form. boot leg. heck i live in the boot leg trails. better hope them jab quads dont come after that poop poop. the grizz has outlasted two of those so far. and no signs of stopping. and the king quad. well guess we will see. we will do all the trails. and many boot legs. we can start from one end and see who comes out first. oh i did pull out a new 07 can am. gy crashed into a tree right in front of me. it tore the hole right side up. bent the frame like a pretzel. i mean this thing is probably totaled in the insurance companies eyes. it even busted the engine case it appeared. and out came the juice of life from it. towed it out like you did. i was the wrecker. i laugh at all the poop poops that try to take me. all i can say is bring that poorlaris to the trails. and we will see what its got. ill put the old grizz and my style of riding against any of them. and if we need more. ill bring the 450 and well i wont say any more. the trail can be the judge. it would be nice to keep everything in the united states. but when it comes to engine design u cant beat those japanese. just like roadracing. you dont see american bikes winning the ama races. nope. its jap bikes... but november is coming soon. and im ready for that big military beast.. man i hope this one does its thing. if any thing goes wrong. we will have to put you in a straight jacket. id hate to see you pick it up and throw it over some hill. and ride back my my yammer hammer.. he he

steath, getting back to your question, you will have no problem w/ 27" tires as ive been running mine for 400 miles w/no problems. i my self use l.range though when i'm in the tough stuff just so i dont burn the belt off. easy to do w/ the power that the 800 has. the h/c will give you better belt grab for sure but its not really needed if your using the l.range in deep mud. oh yea mine doesnt wheelie that much w/ the 27's vs the stockers but i dont want to keep beating up my belt by doing them.

28" gators on mine and has no probles pulling the front end up. I know installed a 6" gorilla lift and it know takes a little more effort to get it up but it still will.

hay what do u think of the gorilla lift. good construction? did it make your quad alot more top heavy and unstable? was it worth the money? ive thought of one of these. but dont know any one who has done this..

i rather be a horses rear end instead of a bores rear end. if u cant take the jokes between me and my friend then dont read them and go away.. dont be jealous just because u dont have a grizzly
