Default I Gotta Know Something.....

Ok, seeing how a 06 Wolverine is a 4 stroke which takes str8 gas which is also the same as an truck or car. Ok, now...When you add octane booster to your truck or car you get better gas mileage, what would or could it do to a 06 Wolverine? I mean it is just like a truck or car for gas, so would it hurt it or no?

octane boosters are a waist. the fukc ur cylender walls up. instead of spend $6 for that bottle send the extra 10 20 cents per gallon. its cheeper for a reason.... cause its cheep quality. i woudlnt waist my time running anything other than what it calls for. ull loose power by running to high of an octane, unless ur biek is modded and needs it. my friend runs 110 in his 250r cause of hte compression ratio, the guy who helped him build the motor said run 105 and an octane booster... it scratched the cylender to all heck and burned a hole threw the piston. dont half a$$ it when it comes to performance stuff.

Well I already run top of the line gas, I was just wondering if the booster would hurt it or not.

id say if u really feel like u wanna run a higher octane, than 93 pump, try and find some 98 or 100. the only difference would be in ur head. i ran some of my friends 110 threw my raptor and blaster and i couldnt tell a difference except the color and smell of it. the 250r with 110 mixed with oil smelt really good tho... i liked fallowin him

I didnt think there would be much of a difference, just figured I'd ask. Around here the highest is usually like 94-95.

There is really no advantage of even running a high octane fuel in a Wolverine anyway. Unless you have a pretty high compression motor it wont do anything more then normal 89 or 97 octane for that matter. I run just 89 in my wolvy and it is fine...

I see....Well why is it that when you buy it they say to use top grade gas?

Use premium gas, but anything more than that is just pooring money down the tank. The octane booster wont hurt, but it wont help either.

I dont know, that is just what others have told me to do. I was going to get high grade fuel for my KFX but was told that it wouldnt do anything more than normal gas. Ive been running 89 is both quads and have ran it is quads before these for many years and have never had a problem.

There is no reason for burning high octain fuel..unless your quad is high compression...just run pump gas...
