I had just cleaned the carb on my 96 warrior. I followed specs for the fuel/air jet. Now when give a quick burst of the throttle it bogs down. Im not too familar with carbs. Any ideas? It ran ok before i did this

Well what i would do first is play with your air-fuel screw untill you get it were it runs right...Being you did not put any mods on it..i see no reason to chang the jets..

My guess is that when you took the bowl off while you were cleaning, the spring for the accelerator pump fell out, you didn't see it, and it never got put back in. That means that when you give it a quick jab the pump won't give that extra squirt of fuel, and the engine will just go "blah" instead of taking off. If the spring is missing, and you can't find it, you can use the spring out of a "click click" pen as a replacement.

mine does this too. I too cleaned the carb and put a new 147.5 main jet instead of the 145 that was in there. Its got pro flow intake setup with no air box lid and an e bros series exhaust. It starts and idles fine and if i ease into the throttle it does fine, but from idle if i stab it off idle it bogs down and wants to stall. I know my spring is on the accelotor pump. any ideas????? would moving the clip on the neddle 1 step leaner help at all? I dont really want to pull the whole carb again unless its really nessasary

Ok, i checked the spring is missing...A spring from a pen is to large in diameter. Is the spring supposed to sit inside the cylinder that the rod is in?

On the end of the accelerator pump plunger (the aluminum rod about 8mm in diameter that goes into the float bowl) there's a little nub that the spring will fit over. The spring will sit inside the float bowl in that little channel, between the bottom of the bowl and the plunger.

How tall of a spring do you need or does that matter? And hjust to varify it does not sit IN the channel between the float bowl and the assembly on the other side?
