Default DS 650 Rear shock Spring Replacement. ?????

Hey guys. Im 280lbs and have recently been jumping my 04 DS 650 Baja. I read the manual on how to set up the rear shock. It ends up I have the collars on the rear shock as far as they will adjust. I have been hitting the jumps and bottoming the back of the quad out. I would like to replace the rear spring with some thing stiffer. Has any one done this and where do I get the spring? I dont want to buy one and it not make a difference. Thanks again for the info. derek

Bottoming out has nothing to do with your spring at your weight. You need to adjust your compression firmer, that is the adjuster on the rezy. Try a couple clicks at a time and you will be fine. The spring adjustments are only for ride height. The DS has a very nice rear shock, with both compression and rebound adjustments, I bet with some tinkering you will get it dailed in very nicely.

yep look on the resi and there is a slot for a reg screwdriver and I believe if you turn the screw clockwise it will make it softer and turning it counterclockwise it will make the suspension harder
