Size 22" x 11" x 10" how do they work for your DS? I have been running Skat 8 paddle extreme 22 x11 x 10 just was wondering how the pull in the dunes vs the skats

I do not have a DS, but I have another heavy quad, the KFX700, and I have been very happy with my sand stars. I do not ride a lot of dunes, but they have performed fine for me.

I run nothing but anymore. I tried most of the paddles out there but since I don't do any serious racing the Sand Stars work best for me for just shredding the dunes. Good grip, on take off and you can break them loose for tight cornering if need be.
Enjoyed the Haulers while I ran them, but too expensive. I also ran the Taller Haulers and the mighty DS tore them all to HeII. I'd say the majority of the recreational duners run the Stars, atleast the ones I've run into, and ride with throughout the season. The racers on here will give you lots of different answers...

I ran em on my DS with great sucess, even the occasional drag race. They shred the dunes exellently, they take a pretty good beating.

I will never run sand stars again. I have a brand new set, only taken to the dunes once. It wouldnt even wheelie. I could start in 3rd at the dragstrip and not kill the bike. JUNK! I literally had to stand on the grab bar to get it to wheelie. And 2nd or 3rd, NEVER would come up. Maybe its just the sand at Little Sahara in Oklahoma but they are JUNK. I would be willing to trade ya mine and some cash for your haulers....Not quite the salesman here but i just dont want you to get rid of your haulers that work and get some stars that will do nothing but **** you off.....I got beat by a 400EX !!!!!! Oh, Bad memories..........

Oh yeah, I was so dissapointed that i wanted to sell my bike. I told my buddy who turned me on to a ds and he told me 2 go back and try his haulers, OMG......I was crackin backs then. No one in our group could outrun me. Oh and wheelies were no problem. Just crack the throttle and the front end is soaring. But i dont have a lot of mods so maybe I wasnt spinning the stars fast enough. I also tried geckos.....JUNK! I will admit the stars are better and will wheelie if you make it. I was overdramatizing it a little. But those haulers will move some freakin sand and i dont think i can go back to the stars or geckos.

I replaced a set of Sand Skate IIs wth 22in Sand Stars I got from Brenten, I really like them. I have no problem pulling the front end up with my 2000 DS in second, and when I launch in 2nd I have to sit forward to keep the front down. In third its easy to just pull the front up. I have 15x42 gearing. I would buy them again in a second.

I by no means am a giant at 6'2 and 175 and I could easily pull the front end up on my 00 before I put any mods on it. But it got easier when I changed my gearing to 15/42. But that was just my experience.
