I'm looking for a kids ute... I don't expect it to be a 4x4 just have the utility body... Other than the Grizz, what other makes have something in this style in a 150 cc or less???

 

I think the Grizzly is the smallest Utility with racks. Is a 250cc 2x4 considered to large for kids?

 

Polaris is selling a Sportsman 90 again for the '07 model year. That is the only other "name brand" that I know of. Several of the off brands also sell utility style minis, including Kolpin which are supposed to be Unison made, decent quads. You can see the Kolpins at Gander Mountain if you have one nearby.

 

Yes Polaris does make a Sportsman 90 but if you check out this side by side comparison of the Grizzly and Sportsman the Sportsman looks less appealing.

The Polaris uses a chain drive,but it is fully automatic which is good for the little kids.

 

I think that Artic Cat makes a 90 too.I was at a local cycle shop yesterday,taking a look around and I think it was an Artic Cat and I seen a Polaris both were around $2000.I am considering one for my daughter.

 

Something you may not be picking up there is that the front suspension on the Grizz is atrocious, and the motors aren't anything to write home about either. Tat2d, was the Cat you saw a ute style mini?

 

Exactly Scooter, that's why I said beside the Grizz... although I just noticed the Grizz is now available in a 125

 

Actually, I the 125 Grizz is the old Breeze with new plastics. I don't know if it received any other updates, but if your kid is of the right size and ability, that might not be a bad one.
