To me a 14 is too low if you don't weigh 400 pounds. You go through the gears quick but you don't accelrate that well. 15/40 is my preferance for play duning with 22 inch haulers on the stock bore.

15/40 with 22 Sand Stars. Tried 14t but it felt slow and I couldn't keep the front end down. Very satisfied with the 15t.

When I got the added avg torque of a big bore, I went up to 17/42 from 15/40 on my stock bore. I weigh 185 and tried every gearing combo under the sun. At my size and the type of terrain on the Oregon dunes, these were optimal setups.
If you are a big'un (little Yjacket lingo) this won't help you much at all.

I think 17/38 has been my best combo on the 530 chain. . . about ready to pull the cord on the 520 conversion! The 17/38 is with the 760 and me at 225+ gear.
Anyone know what length chain for a 2001 DS? Does sidewinder know? Is everyone ordering direct from Sidewinder? Anyone keep these kits in stock with the Ti-Molly sprockets? I don't want anything to do with the Alum. sprockets anymore. I'ld rather sacrafice the right gearing for not having to change out my sprockets after every couple trips.
