My brother and I both have 01 Raptors, They both get riden hard in the mud & sand both have had various problems but nothing over $200 to repair. But niether quad has had any transmission problems. If its a good deal go for it...

I also agree that you must watch out for tranny problems with the raptors but that sounds like a good price and just ride it until something happens then come back on here and we will help you fix it lol good luck sounds like a deal if it works perfect and has been kept up with maintanance...If you do get it change the oil, clean filter, clean the chain and check to see if you need new sprockets and chain if the teeth are pointed on the sprockets you will need a new chain and sprockets, check the valve clearance, wheel bearings, brakes, and other maintanance.

Yea it sounds like a good deal to me. I just bought an 02 for 3100 and I am very happy with it. I do wish that I asked the great people on here what I should be looking for before I bought it though. I havent noticed any problems at all.. It was my first quad so everything seems a little crazy at first. Good luck buddy.
