Which has the best suspension and bottom end power. Most of my riding is 30mph or below in heavy woods with lots of deep creeks. Never had a chance to ride either so any info would be appreciated.

Are you talking about the new wolverine. Well for bottom end pull i would have to guess the wolverine for suspension the scrambler has a very nice mono shock. The old Wolv. was full time 4x4 but the scram. has the polaris AWD. The wolv. would probably be more your thing, its a bit slower paced and more work oriented in my opinion

If you are taking a belt drive into a very deep creek, be darn sure the cover over the belt is perfectly sealed!

I have not ridden the Wolverine, either new or old. I have ridden the Scrambler, and it was not a very pleasent experience! The ergonomics were terrible and the thing handled heavy.

I would love to see a new class of light hybrid quads, ala the Wolverine, but doesn't look like the manufacturers are going to run with that concept...........

I read a lot of good things about the Wolvy and am really leaning toward it. Haven't seen as much on the Scrambler, but I have a cousin who sells them and I can get a good deal on one. I am a little over 6'2' and close to 250lbs and need some good bottom end power. Truthfully I drive a old 84 TRX200 right now and it has yet to not pulled me out of any deep creek I have drop it off into. Thanks for the info.

.....but that old TRX has a manual transmission. Ask around about what happens when you get your belt all caked in mud.

So far, I have never gone into mud more than 5 in. deep. Not planning on getting in any that is deeper. I was born and raised on a dairy farm and slooped thru much mud and cow cr@p. By the way, we are going thru a drought in north east Texas, when it rains, it dries pretty quickly.

Your post did say "lots of deep creeks". To me, that means at least mid engine deep............

Ya I've had my scrambler through some really deep stuff, the clutch case filled with water and then... belt slipage. but that was driving with water practically up to the front fenders. Doesnt the new wolverine have a low gear? and it would do the same thing in deep enough water. and by the way the old hondas rock i have a 1985 trx 250 and its still kicking.

Most creeks around here only have water in them after it rains hard. Where I ride, some are pretty deep, up to 20 feet. The sides are steep and the dirt is loose. My old Honda suprise me by how steep a grade it climb me out of. I was basically laying on the handle bars going up. I imagine compare to what I ride now, any suspension would be a big improvement. Those old Honda's don't have much movement up front. I was looking at sport quads, but I really would like an auto and the 4x4 option of these two could help me out in a bind if needed. Was looking at the kfx700 but was wondering how the belt held up on those. I know a few people that have the big BForces that had belt troubles but they also have big mudders and are the type that could flatting a stainless steel ball with a rubber mallet if you know what I mean.
