John Deere Trail Buck
#1
I'm looking at a John Deere Trail Buck 650. Can you all give me the good, the bad, and the ugly? I will be using it for hunting, trapping, and on the farm. I get in some pretty rough places.

I have a Traxster so mine is gear to gear and not a belt.
The good:
Super tough and built VERY well. (Look at the frame size and guage, then look at a Honda)
Super nice seat.
Super big fuel tank and storage area.
Visco lock is second to none. (People can talk lockers all they want)
Rotex, enough said.
Mine has the radiator in the back; good place to put it. (I don't remember if the Trail Buck does or not?)
It's heavy so you can really haul a load.
The bad:
It rides like a 1957 10 yard dump truck; unloaded. (you can fix the ride with an off-set shock kit)
You can't unlock the 4X.
A few nickle and dime stuff broke. Nothing big. Just like, little oil leaks and the choke bracket broke. Nothing big.
This is really a work quad. If you use it for work mostly and a little trail riding there are none better.
If you use it for mostly trail riding and a little work, I can think of better quads on the market.
