Default Pipes?

Has anyone seen a comparison of pipes and how the perform for the DS?

I'm looking at the ALBA pipe and wondered if anyone has an opinion on it...good or bad.

Thanks!

Keep the stock headers unless you are going to the CT full system or the Ron Woods full system...otherwise the stock headers with a slipon perform very well..the endcap route is alright for power but the stoc k canister is junk and weighs allot....and is ugly.

Default Pipes?

I've seen an Alba pipe on a DS, was NOT impressed, performance, sound, looks, all were bad in my opinion.
HPResearch.net has a small thing on exhausts, there are a lot of threads on here on exhaust questions. I've had the FMF PowerCore IV slip on, HMF slip-on, Trinity full system, and the Big Gun Evo X full system. The FMF was junk, the HMF had huge low end grunt and deep tone sound, the Trinity was the coolest looking and most unique sounding, the Big Gun was the best power gainer of the bunch and is very loud, i love it.
Good luck with ur decision

I love my alba system that I have but they don't sell it anymore I believe they changed the style I would look into the lte dual exhaust I think thats the coolest exhaust and has good power gains even though it is about $700

i have been through quite a few myself. it really depends on your style of riding.. if u do mainly drags i would go with HRP'S drag pipe... if you like to drag and trail ride, the Ron woods in-fram drag pipe is excellent...Hrp also has a the top gun in frame that i havent heard a bad word about either....The one i liked the best for "all around" riding, (drags, dunes, trail) it the ron woods full exaust...it has a ton of mid and high and end grunt...and the sound would make the hair stand up on your neck when u reved it up...

As for the alba. my neighbor had one and i wasnt impressed at all with it...to me(jmo) the upper end of the power band seemed to be choking down, it didnt seem to flow well to me...sounded kind of like a bumble bee on steroids...lol....
