#1
(This is for cross country/enduro riding-not racing)!
-I have a 400ex and what to put a complete front suspension kit and an axel on it. I'm thining of getting the ishock i45oo and a durablue axel, then an elka rear shock. Does anybody have these parts or know anything about 'em, is this the right set up. i'm trying to make my 400ex more serious and have better suspension and handling, thanks,

I have a Lonestar +2/+4 and paid less than $325 to my front door from eBay. It was brand new. I also bought an antifade nut as well. Have not had the time to install that along with my a-arms (+2) I bought. While you are in there, spend some bucks and get an axel housing that has a grease zerk on it and keep her lubed up. If you are gonna spend money, get something that will last. Guy that rides with us is always buying cheap or wanna be items.
If you are going to expand the front as well, get the shocks for it so you dont have to buy a set now (stock length), and another set when you mod later on. I know of one guy that swears by the kits where you get the A-arms, shocks, lines, bushings etc. They run anywhere from $1000 to $2000. Re-build able shocks are worth the money invested as well. If you get a sealed shock and bend a shock rod, its junk. Buy one that can be re-built and re-valved, you will save your self big bucks in the long run.
GOOD LUCK!!!
